Sir Philip Knyvett, (also spelt Knyvet, Knevett, Knivett and Knevitt), 1st Bart of Buckenham, was born May 4, 1583 and christened May 21, 1583. He married Katherine in 1606. She was the daughter of Charles Ford of Butley Abbey.

Philip was made a baronet in 1611. On May 20, 1624, he was certified to be a Justice of the Peace in Norfolke; and that his Wife is a Recusant.
